The distribution of illegal luxury cars lately rampant in the city. This condition obviously disadvantage Regional Revenue (PAD), especially from motor vehicle tax sector. Moreover, motor vehicle tax is the most contributor of PAD in the city.

The illegal luxury cars automatically do not pay the tax. Where as, the tax that should be paid is quite large, considering its class is including premium item with quite big capacity.

"The tax would be loss. As the tax of the luxury cars is quite large," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, at City Hall, Friday (6/12).

Basuki hoped that police could arrest the owner of the illegal luxury cars in the city. Considering, its number in Jakarta is quite much. "Let the police arrest them," he expressed.

As known Metro Jaya Regional Police held 2015 Patuh Jaya Operation started on May 27 to June 9, 2015. In the operation, there were 10 luxury cars netted.

Those netted cars are not equipped with official vehicle registration (STNK). Besides that, those cars are also not installed with the real plate number. Those 10 cars are branded  Mercedes Benz A 200, 2 sport Lamborghini, Harrier, sport Lotus, Alphard, 2 sport Porsche, BMW, and Jeep Wrangl er.
